Tucson's mild winter climate brings significant numbers of elderly subjects with the attendant pain and neurological disorders to our site for studies. Additionally, many subjects with other non-age-related neurological disorders find Tucson a convenient place to live due to the lack of extreme cold or wet conditions here.
The greater Tucson area is home to over 1 million people who are approximately 60% Caucasian, 30% Hispanic, 3% African American, and 3% Asian.
Neurology
Located 2 blocks from Northwest Medical Center, our site is ideally located in Northwest Tucson in a large medical complex. Our close relationship with NWMC and its IRB, facilitates rapid study start-up of inpatient studies. Subjects find our site accessible and convenient for ancillary procedures. We have dedicated monitoring rooms with direct dial phones and high speed internet connections, an in-house laboratory for specimen collection and preparation, full neurological diagnostic capabilities on site or at a nearby facility.
