AMCR Institute is a clinical research center engaged in Phase I-IV trials in the field of endocrinology and metabolism. We focus on drug and medical device studies for diabetes type 1 and type 2 and other metabolic disorders including lipids, men and women's health issues, osteoporosis, obesity, and thyroid disease.
The AMCR Institute has two facilities in Escondido and Temecula in Southern California. The Escondido facility is the corporate headquarters and is situated approximately 30 miles north of Downtown San Diego. It is equipped to handle studies of any complexity for leading pharmaceutical and medical device companies with a new "patient friendly" environment The Temecula facility is located 25 miles north of the Escondido office. Both facilities are close to the I-15 freeway with easy access and parking for participants.
We pride ourselves on our excellent record of meeting the industry's need for sites that can facilitate rapid study start-up, patient enrollment, efficient execution and completion of the studies in a safe environment.

For more than 20 years, Timothy Bailey, MD has directed Phase I-IV endocrine and metabolic clinical trials for many of the world's leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies. We have extensive device experience, ranging from first-in-human to pivotal trials for FDA submission. We have special expertise in the evaluation of medical software, both embedded and stand-alone.

Dr. Bailey, a certified physician investigator (CPI), has specialized in working with patients with diabetes, osteoporosis, thyroid diseases and lipids disorders since 1990. He is a clinical associate professor at the University Of California San Diego School Of Medicine.
Chandrasekhar Varma, MD, FACE, FACP
Licensure and Board Certification Internal Medicine, Endocrinology & Metabolism.
Dr. Varma specializes in his practice in applying rapidly evolving technology to treat endocrine and metabolic disorders. He is a clinical assistant professor at the University Of California San Diego School Of Medicine.

AMCR Institute carries out cutting-edge clinical trials using medications and medical devices developed by the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. We are situated in a highly populated region close to San Diego and the Mexican border facilitating recruitment from a geographically diverse population. Our staff works with the local communities and health centers, diabetes educators and physicians offices in San Diego and Riverside counties. Patients who participate in clinical trials at our sites come from a variety of different sources and we advertise regularly in the local media, radio and TV participating in health fairs and symposiums and other community events. Eligible patients are offered the latest treatment options carried out under strict guidelines from the Food and Drug Administration. Volunteers become the most critical link in a chain of research and testing to develop breakthrough treatments for a broad range of health problems. At all times, your safety and confidentiality are guarded with the utmost concern. Because of our respected background in research, AMCR physicians regularly present their research findings to major medical organizations.
