Atlantic Institute of Clinical Research (AICR) is a multi-specialty, professional research center with the facilities, equipment, and experience to handle phase II-IV clinical trials. AICR has four full-time CCRCs with extensive medical and clinical research experience, a full-time clinical lab technician, and an administrative assistant/regulatory specialist. All employees have had extensive training in HIPAA privacy policies and compliance. Established in 1991, AICR is a leader in conducting clinical research and has successfully taken a number of drugs through the research requirements essential to the new drug application. AICR has a tremendous patient recruitment potential, not only through its parent HMO (membership >60,000), but also through an excellent relationship with the local medical community (two-county population of >450,000). AICR's sophisticated, computerized data retrieval enhances patient recruitment and enables coordinators to implement studies in a timely and cost-efficient manner. AICR is part of Halifax Community Health System, affording access to the modern facilities of Halifax Medical Center.
At AICR, it's "Today's Research...Tomorrow's Cure."
