St. Mary's Hospital is dedicated to meeting the healthcare needs of the residents of western Colorado and eastern Utah.
A not-for-profit organization, St. Mary's Hospital was founded in 1896 by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth. The small, wood-framed building, that stood over 100 years ago, offered only 10 beds. Today, St. Mary's Hospital is the largest medical center between Denver and Salt Lake City, and boasts over 350 beds.
Approximately 2,000 staff and 300 active physicians, representing more than 40 specialties, provide the high-level and compassionate care. Approximately 700 volunteers support the staff, donating more than 150,000 hours of service each year.
St. Mary's Hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations, the American Medical Association Council on Medical Education, the Colorado Medical Society, and the American Association of Blood Banks.
St. Mary's is dedicated to providing specialized services, experienced professionals, and the latest in techniques and technology close to home for the people of western Colorado and eastern Utah.
