Danbury Eye Physicians and Surgeons, P.C. is a physician owned, multi-specialty, ophthalmology group practice. We are dedicated to the organization, ethical performance and timely completion of quality clinical investigational drug trials. Our highly trained professional staff has a common goal to promote the development of effective and safe medical products through Good Clinical Practices. This mission is accomplished through devoted patient-physician interaction and education. We provide patients with the opportunity to have access to new medications, which could dramatically improve their quality of life. Danbury Eye Physicians and Surgeons has the capability to participate in phase I, II, III and IV research trials on an outpatient basis.
We have been participating in clinical trials for over 10 years. We have conducted several trials in phases I, II, III and IV. Our clinical research trials have included the following sponsors and CRO's:

Danbury Eye Physicians and Surgeons has a dedicated Clinical Research Coordinator as well as Ancillary Support Staff. These staff members are efficient, caring professionals who are well trained to treat study participants with respect and dignity with patient confidentiality our utmost concern. Their constant interaction with the Investigators assists in keeping the study enrollment, assessment, documentation and correspondence timely to provide the Sponsor with clean, accurate data.
Our research population includes rural, urban and suburban patients ranging from infants to the elderly. The greater Danbury area also offers a diverse ethnic population. Danbury Eye Physicians and Surgeons recognizes the success of every clinical trial hinges on the success of the recruiting strategies for identifying qualified and compliant patients. We have organized thousands of our patients into a computerized database allowing rapid retrieval of patients based on their diagnosis.
Ophthalmology
Danbury Eye Physicians and Surgeons is located in Southwestern Connecticut in Fairfield County. Our office is situated less than one-mile from Danbury Hospital and offers convenient parking. We have a full service optical shop and contact lens department. We have ownership interest in Precision Laser in Cheshire, CT, an excimer and lasik center, as well as a partnership interest in Danbury Surgical Center located within our medical complex, which is fully equipped for comprehensive anterior and posterior surgical eye procedures. Our state of the art 15,300-square-foot facility houses a dedicated research area, 17 examination rooms, 9 pretest/history rooms, locked record room, study supply storage, secure medication room, PC systems for database development, office management and administration. A minimum of 1,000 patients are examined weekly, with at least 200 new patients added to our practice a week, Danbury Eye currently has over 100,000 patient charts.
