Northwest Clinical Trials, Inc. (NWCT) is an independent, dedicated medical research facility located in Boise, Idaho. Our mission is to produce clean, high-quality, evaluable study data for the biopharmaceutical industry to facilitate development of new treatment for disease and to improve the health of people worldwide. NWCT was founded by Dr. Brock McConnehey, a Board Certified Family Practice physician, who has more than a decade of clinical research experience.

Dr McConnehey has more than a decade of experience in clinical research and our coordinators are certified with ACRP or APPI.
Brock McConnehey, DO, CPI closed his private practice in family medicine to open Northwest Clinical Trials after 10 years in the dual role of physician and investigator. He is joined by sub-Investigators, Dr Diane McConnehey, DO, CPI and Daniel Hanson, PA-C, who serves as a sub investigator.
Serving in an advisory role is senior investigator, Dr. Jon L. Ruckle. All of our physician investigators are certified by APPI/ACRP and have conducted clinical trials for more than 10 years.
Our lead coordinators are ACRP/APPI certified and we encourage all staff to become proficient in their areas of expertise. Lead by Justin Parkinson, CCRC, our early phase staff are ACLS certified. As of 2009, our coordinators have research experience of 4-9 years.
One-third of the population of Idaho calls the Treasure Valley home. One of the fastest growing cities in the country, Boise and the surrounding area have enjoyed a population growth rate double the national average. Caucasian is the most common race with a 15-20% Hispanic ethnicity. Idaho is also home to the largest Basque population outside of Europe.

Centrally located in a high concentration medical service area near a trauma center, Northwest Clinical Trials offers visibility and convenience for study participants, visitors and sponsor representatives. Our 5000 square foot facility includes separate early and late phase sections to accommodate multiple trial groups.
Our early phase unit features 30 beds, day rooms for participants, an on-site kitchen, and a controlled access patio area. Our late phase unit has 4 exam rooms with separate coordinator areas. A procedure room, pharmacy, lab area and private monitor rooms complete our facility. Our pharmacy environment is monitored continuously to prevent ambient, refrigerator or freezer temperature variations. Our laboratory area is furnished with -70° and -20° freezers, refrigerated centrifuge, refrigerator, centrifuge, and microscope in addition to space to store lab kits and phlebotomy supplies.
