Kansas City Allergy and Asthma Associates is a private practice composed of 5 board certified allergists and immunologists. The research department is comprised of one full time principal investigator, five sub-investigators and full-time clinical research coordinators. Kansas City Allergy and Asthma Associates has been in business for over 30 years and has 19 years of clinical research experience.
Our center has been involved in clinical research for over 19 years. The research department has experience in treating/studying the following therapeutic areas for both adult and pediatric patients: allergies, asthma, chronic urticaria, hereditary angioedema, vaccines and chronic sinusitis. We have had the pleasure of working with Novartis, Schering Plough, Genentech, Roche, GlaxoSmithKline, Merck & Co., Stallergenes, Teva, MedImmune, Allergy Therapeutics, Meda (Medpointe), Nycomed (Altana Pharma), Sanofi Aventis, Accentia, Greer, Dynavax, Curalogic, Apotex, IVAX and Inspire among others.
Jeffrey A. Wald, MD-Dr. Wald has been a principal investigator at KCAA for over 19 years and currently serves as the Senior Director of research at KCAA. Dr. Wald has been principal investigator for over 250 clinical trials.
Mark R. Neustrom, DO- Dr. Neustrom has been a sub-investigator for over 14 years and a principal investigator for the last 5 years.
Scott J. Frankel, MD- Dr. Frankel has been a sub-investigator for over 19 years at KCAA.
Derrick R. Ward, MD-Dr. Ward has been a sub-investigator for 2 years at KCAA.

Kansas City Allergy and Asthma Associates is an outpatient facility with state of the art equipment including spirometry/pulmonary function testing equipment, a Niox Minow, skin prick testing extracts and supplies, EKG machine, lab with centrifuge, temperature monitored refrigerators and freezers with limited access, a crash cart with defibrillator and locked drug storage. KCAA is conveniently located near several major Kansas City highways for easy access to residents of the greater Kansas City area.
