Atlanta Center for Medical Research (ACMR) is a 24-hour privately owned research facility with a secured, 40-bed inpatient unit. We conduct both outpatient and inpatient clinical trials with experience in Phases I through IV of industry sponsored pharmaceutical trials. Established in 1982, ACMR has become a primary research site in the United States for national and international medication studies.
Dr. Robert Riesenberg, Medical Director and President of ACMR, has conducted clinical trials for over 20 years and serves as Principal Investigator for research done in the central nervous system area. ACMR employs other physicians to serve as sub-investigators as back up and support to Dr. Riesenberg for studies that involve specialized assessments such as telemetry monitoring, holter monitoring, MRI/CAT Scan interpretation, etc.
ACMR specialized in the research and treatment of psychiatric illnesses such as Alzheimer's, Anxiety Disorder, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Depression (adolescent, adult, and geriatric), Schizophrenia, Social Phobia, and Mood Disorders. We also have experience in research on Anorexia, Migraine headaches, Insomnia, Down Syndrome, Weight Loss, Alcohol Dependence, and many more illnesses.
ACMR employs over 40 full time research personnel that include nurses, certified clinical coordinators, certified efficacy raters, laboratory technicians and other support staff. We also have a dedicated regulatory department that handles the regulatory process from study submission, study maintenance with monitoring visits through to study close out. Our in-house marketing department is responsible for timely recruitment of appropriate study participants.
