OFDR is a private, non-profit medical research foundation. Our mission is to advance basic science and clinical research in gastrointestinal disease, treat patients with such diseases, participate in the training of physicians, and to educate the public about gastrointestinal illnesses. Our free-standing clinical research center is affiliated with the private gastroenterology practice of Dr. Philip B. Miner, Jr., M.D., board-certified gastroenterologist. Dr. Miner joined OFDR in 1996 as President and Medical Director. He is also Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma.
