We all know someone affected by cancer, whether it is a friend, relative, coworker or neighbor. And when cancer strikes, everyone involved seeks comfort and support to get through treatment of the disease. University Hospitals responded to the challenges of our growing cancer population by building the only freestanding cancer hospital in the region, UH Seidman Cancer Center.
Located on the main campus of University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio, UH Seidman Cancer Center opened in spring 2011. The 375,000-square-foot hospital houses all of our cancer services under one roof to optimize patient- and family-centered care, provide the latest therapies, enhance collaboration and promote clinical research and education.
UH Seidman Cancer Center is named in honor of Jane and Lee Seidman, who generously donated $42 million in support of Vision 2010: The UH Difference strategic initiative.
