A PHASE III TRIAL OF SHORT TERM ANDROGEN DEPRIVATION WITH PELVIC LYMPH NODE OR PROSTATE BED ONLY RADIOTHERAPY (SPPORT) IN PROSTATE CANCER PATIENTS WITH A RISING PSA AFTER RADICAL PROSTATECTOMY
Prostate cancer patients will be stratified based on seminal vesicle involvement, gleason
score, pre-radiotherapy PSA level, and PSA doubling time. Patients will then be randomized
to either Arm I only with prostate bed radiation therapy, Arm 2 with prostate bed radiation
therapy plus androgen deprivation oral therapy for 4-6 months, or Arm 3 with prostate bed
and pelvic lymph node radiation therapy plus androgen deprivation oral therapy for 4-6
months.
