In-vivo Non-invasive Skin Imaging Pilot Study to Assess the Effects of Tretinoin Cream and Skin Smoothing Laser™ Using Multi-photon Microscopy and Multi-spectral Imaging
The researchers want to assess the effectiveness of Tretinoin cream and of the Food and Drug
Administration cleared Skin Smoothing Laser to determine the change of the skin using
optical imaging techniques to measure the change.
Administration cleared Skin Smoothing Laser to determine the change of the skin using
optical imaging techniques to measure the change.
The researchers can determine the change of skin properties during application of Tretinoin
cream and Skin Smoothing Laser by the optical imaging techniques.
The imaging technologies used in this study are:
1. Multiphoton microscopy to evaluate the changes in the skin following application of
cosmetic products
2. Multispectral Imaging this imaging modality for obtaining information on the skin's
optical properties
Topical cream used in this study is Tretinoin cream 0.1% is to determine the improvement of
collagen/elastin damages in forearm skin.
Skin Smoothing Laser is cosmetic light treatment use in this study is to stimulating new
production of new skin cell.
