Carlos Guerra, Jr., M.D., P.A. is a private practice facility devoted to outpatient clinical treatment and research. Dr. Guerra has been in private practice for over 10 years. Because the practice provides both a clinical and research setting, patients may receive treatment regardless of their ability to meet criteria for a research protocol. Patients are educated regarding their treatment options and can be confident they will receive best practice care without having to be referred elsewhere. Those patients who do meet criteria for a particular research protocol receive ongoing medical monitoring, medication, and long-term follow up care through the practice.
Carlos Guerra, Jr., M.D., P.A. is able to conduct Phase II, III, or IV clinical trial on Scheduled 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, or 5 medications, non-scheduled medications, or over-the-counter medications in an outpatient setting.
Current studies include a Bipolar (Adult and Adolescent) and an Adult AD/HD study. A Major Depression study with Eli Lilly and Company is scheduled for a Summer 2004 launch.
Sponsor companies and CROs include GlaxoSmithKline, Shire, Ortho-McNeil, Eli Lilly and Company, and PPD. A Bipolar Study with Healthcare Communications Group is pending.
