Granger Medical Research is a member of the Granger Medical Clinic Family. We are owned and operated by Granger Medical Clinic which operates 3 large multi-specialty medical clinics located on the west side of the Salt Lake City Valley. We also own and operate an urgent care center, which is open from 9 AM - 9 PM Monday -Saturday.
Granger Medical Clinic was founded more than 50 years ago, and we have one of the largest independent clinics in the Salt Lake Valley. We have over 60 staff physicians and more than 250,000 patients in our clinic database. Our Clinical Research Staff and Clinical Research Investigators have over 50 years of combined Clinical Research Experience.
All of our Investigators and Clinical Research staff are required to complete the National Institutes of Health Training for the Protection of Human Research Subjects. Our Investigators and research staff also receive training on Good Clinical Practice and the FDA code of Federal regulations relating to Clinical Research.

Because Clinical trials are scientific research studies designed to find better ways to treat or prevent diseases. We will ensure that our patients are given the opportunity to participate in clinical trials, thereby allowing them to play a more active role in their own health care, gain access to new research treatments before they are widely available, and help others by contributing to medical research. We will continue to invite the more than 1,100,000 million people in the Salt Lake metropolitan community and surrounding communities to participate with us as we seek to improve and contribute to the health of our communities both locally and globally.

Granger Medical Research Staff have completed the National Institutes of Health Training for the Protection of Human Research Subjects. Research staff has also received training on Good Clinical Practice and the FDA code of Federal regulations relating to Clinical Research. Our staff is required to pursue Clinical Certification through SoCRA or ACRP, as well as pursue continuing education related to Clinical Research annually.
Granger Medical Research Staff and our clinic based Investigators work as a team to ensure that we provide quality data to our sponsors and CRO's, and safe professional care to our subjects.
Carrie Briscoe, CCRP - Director of Clinical Research - Carrie has over 15 years of Clinical Research Experience. She has been involved in the conduct of over 60 studies, including Phase I-IV studies. She has more than 9 years of Clinical Research experience coordinating National Cooperative Oncology studies for a large Health Care System in Utah, as well as Pharmaceutical Studies for several local community based oncologists. Carrie was the President of a Site Management Organization in Northern Utah for six years from 2001-2007; she was responsible for site development, business operations and project management, this organization managed Oncology, Pain Management, Family Practice, Urology, and Internal Medicine studies, for several sites. Carrie was hired as the Director of Clinical Research for Granger Medical Clinic in March of 2007.
Granger Medical Clinic has over 260,000 patients in our clinic database. These include Adults, Teens and Pediatric patients.
We have a very culturally diverse patient population on the west side of the Salt Lake City Valley. The Salt Lake Valley has more than 1,100,000 million people from which we also draw subjects.
Utah is known for our very compliant research subjects. Clinical Research is seen in a very positive light in Utah due to our very active research community, which is internationally recognized.
