Gastroenterology Associates of Tidewater has been involved with pharmaceutical research since 1995. We have participated in Phase II through Phase IV trials. We have successfully enrolled and completed over 75 trials.

Dr. Malik has been a principal investigator since 2002. In 2008 Dr. Malik received his CPI (Certified Physician Investigator) certification through the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP).

Jo-Anne Tiamzon, BS, CCRC, a research coordinator, has over 7 years of clinical research experience.

The physicians of Gastroenterology Associates of Tidewater draw referrals from the Hampton Roads/Tidewater area. This population base of greater than 2 million includes Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Hampton and Newport News.

Patients are also referred to our offices from as far away as Northeastern North Carolina, as well as the Outer Banks of North Carolina and the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
